1. Definitions
In these Terms & Conditions:
- "Tenang Ledger", "we", "us", "our" — refers to the business operating financial literacy programmes under the Tenang Ledger name, based at Level 25, Menara Takaful Malaysia, No. 4, Jalan Sultan Sulaiman, 50000 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
- "Programme" — any course, workshop or series offered by Tenang Ledger, including Money Basics for Young Adults, Family Planning Around Big Costs, and the Workplace Money Skills Series.
- "Participant" or "You" — any individual or organisation that uses our website, submits an enquiry or enrols in a Programme.
- "Content" — all materials, workbooks, checklists, planners, recorded sessions and written resources provided as part of a Programme.
- "Agreement" — these Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using our website or enrolling in a Programme, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or enrol. You must be at least 18 years old to enter into this Agreement. By enrolling, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to do so.
3. Description of Programmes
Tenang Ledger offers three financial literacy programmes:
- Money Basics for Young Adults — three 90-minute online sessions for individuals aged 18–30; RM 440 per participant.
- Family Planning Around Big Costs — two-day weekend workshop for parents and caregivers; RM 1,900 per family.
- Workplace Money Skills Series — eight-week programme for organisations; RM 4,400 per organisation (20–50 employees).
Programmes are delivered in English, with bilingual (English and Bahasa Malaysia) support available for certain workshops on request. All Programmes are available in Malaysia. Tenang Ledger reserves the right to modify programme content, schedule or delivery format with reasonable notice to enrolled participants.
4. Enrolment and Registration
Enrolment is confirmed in writing by email after submission of an enquiry and receipt of payment. The enrolment confirmation constitutes a binding agreement for the Programme stated therein. You are responsible for providing accurate enrolment information. For the Workplace Series, the enrolling organisation is responsible for ensuring employees are informed of and able to attend sessions.
5. Payment Terms
All fees are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Payment is due upon enrolment confirmation unless a purchase order arrangement has been agreed in writing.
Refund policy
- Cancellation by the participant more than 14 days before the first session: full refund of the programme fee.
- Cancellation 7–14 days before the first session: 50% refund.
- Cancellation fewer than 7 days before the first session: no refund. Participants may, however, transfer their place to another person at no cost.
- If Tenang Ledger cancels a session or programme, a full refund will be offered or the participant may be transferred to the next available cohort at their choice.
6. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Attend sessions punctually and engage constructively
- Use programme Content for personal or internal organisational learning only
- Not record, screenshot or redistribute session recordings or materials without written permission from Tenang Ledger
- Not disrupt sessions or the learning environment for other participants
- Not use information from sessions to misrepresent Tenang Ledger's position or to give or imply financial advice to others
7. Intellectual Property
All Content — including workbooks, checklists, spreadsheet planners, session slides and recorded sessions — is the intellectual property of Tenang Ledger. By enrolling, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Content for your own personal or internal organisational learning purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell or commercially exploit Content without prior written consent from Tenang Ledger.
8. Educational Scope — Not Financial Advice
All Tenang Ledger Programmes are educational in nature. Nothing in any session, material, written communication or spoken content constitutes regulated financial advice, a recommendation to purchase or sell any financial product, or professional advice of any kind. Tenang Ledger is not licensed as a financial adviser. Participants requiring specific financial advice are directed to consult a licensed financial adviser registered with the Securities Commission Malaysia or Bank Negara Malaysia.
9. Disclaimers
Programmes and Content are provided in good faith on the basis of publicly available information current at the time of delivery. We do not warrant that programme content will remain accurate indefinitely or be applicable to every individual circumstance. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability of online sessions or digital materials, and we are not responsible for technical failures outside our control.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Tenang Ledger's aggregate liability to any participant arising from or in connection with a Programme shall not exceed the programme fee paid by that participant. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages of any kind. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tenang Ledger and its facilitators from and against any claims, losses or expenses arising from your breach of this Agreement, your misuse of programme Content or your violation of any applicable law.
12. Termination
Tenang Ledger reserves the right to remove a participant from a programme without refund if their conduct significantly disrupts the experience of other participants or breaches these Terms. Participants may withdraw from a programme at any time, subject to the refund terms in section 5. Sections 7, 9, 10, 11 and 13 survive termination of this Agreement.
13. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first at [email protected] so that we may attempt to resolve the matter informally. If informal resolution is not reached within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
14. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tenang Ledger relating to the subject matter herein.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- Waiver: Failure by Tenang Ledger to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under this Agreement without our prior written consent.
- Notices: Legal notices to Tenang Ledger should be sent to [email protected].
15. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email to enrolled participants where practicable. Continued use of our website or enrolment in future programmes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised.
